StarLadder Reveals Budapest Major 2025

I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major Championship has been officially announced, succeeding the BLAST.tv Austin Major. That’s right, it’s been a while since we had one, but tournament organizer StarLadder is bringing us a Major for the first time since 2019!

The StarLadder Budapest Major is slated to take place from November 24, 2025, to December 14, 2025. This tournament will adopt a fresh format that was introduced with the BLAST.tv Austin Major, featuring four rounds of competition and showcasing 32 top-tier CS2 teams worldwide.

Competing teams will fight for a piece of the $1,250,000 total prize money. The initial stages (1-3) will be held at MTK Sportpark, followed by the playoffs at MVM Dome. These events will unfold in the vibrant city of Budapest, Hungary.

StarLadder has returned to the CS:GO Major Circuit! Starting this winter from November 24th until December 14th, some of the world’s top teams will assemble in beautiful Budapest, Hungary. They’ll be vying for a massive prize pool of $1,250,000 and the prestigious title of StarLadder Budapest Major champion!
