Stardew Valley meets Pokémon. Players praise this mix and are ready to give it a chance

Instead of “We had ‘Stardew Valley plus Baldur’s Gate 3′, and soon we will get ‘Stardew Valley plus horror.'”, you could say “Previously, we enjoyed a blend of ‘Stardew Valley’ and Baldur’s Gate 3. Soon, there’ll be a combination of ‘Stardew Valley’ with horror elements.”

“Clearly, the unique blend of ‘Stardew Valley‘ and Pokémon in Monsterpatch has drawn interest. This project, which raised $281,000 on Kickstarter, initially aimed to secure 15,000 dollars (achieved on March 26). The ultimate public target is to provide the developers with an additional 300,000 dollars.

Sean Young’s project title subtly references the Nintendo series, but the character sprites displayed on the product page and Steam leave no room for question about the developers’ influences. The game itself seems to conjure up comparisons with the initial releases of Pokémon.

You’ll be pleased to know that we offer two unique editions of the game, “Skyfarer” and “Aurora”. At the commencement of your gameplay, you’ll get to select which one suits you best, without needing to purchase them individually.

In addition to trainers (or mages) and mythical creatures (referred to as MoN), a floating continent exists, governed by nine clans headed by archmages. These clans have affiliated monsters that can impact the abilities of your in-game pets. At the outset, you’ll select one of two MoNs for your character. Throughout the game, your character will also acquire magical abilities, which will be enhanced over time.

In this virtual world simulation, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and design your very own town, with freedom to sculpt the landscape, position objects, and erect buildings. To start, we’ll need to gather suitable blueprints, sketches, and instructions. The developers are also excited about offering a wide range of customization options for creatures, engaging dynamic combat sequences, and the flexibility to control the tempo of battles.

At this moment, Monsterpatch hasn’t set a launch date yet, and we don’t have much detail regarding its multiplayer aspect. However, the developers are working towards crafting a comforting experience for the single-player version.
