Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Trailer Drops At D23 - Watch Now

As a child of the ’80s who grew up on a steady diet of Amblin films and Star Wars, I can hardly contain my excitement for Disney+’s upcoming series, Skeleton Crew! The trailer oozes with that nostalgic charm that takes me back to those days of hiding under blankets during a thunderstorm, flashlight in hand, watching the adventures unfold on our old TV.

As a longtime fan of the Star Wars universe, I was thrilled to learn that Skeleton Crew is coming soon to Disney+. Having grown up with the original trilogy and following the saga through its many twists and turns, I can’t wait to see what this new live-action series has in store. Jude Law’s character, Jod Na Nawood, piques my interest as a Force user, adding yet another layer of intrigue to this expanding galaxy far, far away. The fact that Star Wars is still going strong after all these years speaks volumes about its enduring appeal and the passion of its fanbase. I can’t imagine what it must be like for those involved in creating these stories, knowing that they have the power to bring joy and excitement to so many people around the world. As a storyteller myself, I have a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and dedication required to create a universe as rich and immersive as Star Wars. Bring on Skeleton Crew!

As a devotee, I’d say the show feels like a heartfelt tribute to those captivating Amblin sci-fi films from the ’80s, and the trailer certainly reinforces that feeling. Four spirited kids stumble upon a starship concealed within the woods, only to find themselves stranded when it whisks their world away, leaving no obvious path back home. The series revolves around the kids’ resilient journey through the cosmos, battling odds to reunite with their beloved families.

In the center of the show, we find Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith portraying the main characters as children. While three of them seem to be typical humans, one stands out with an elephant-like appearance. Additionally, Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, and Jaleel White are also part of the cast in this series.

On December 3rd, you’ll be able to catch the premiere of “Skeleton Crew” on Disney+. The series will span across eight captivating episodes. Moreover, during D23, we received exciting updates: Toy Story 5 is in the works, and Avatar 3 has officially been named by James Cameron.
