As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of preorder bonuses and special editions. Star Wars Outlaws is no exception, and I must say, Ubisoft has outdone themselves with this one!
The game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Ubisoft (the creators of The Division), is their attempt at an open-world (or semi-open) Star Wars game. If you’ve preordered this game or bought its Gold or Ultimate versions, you’ll receive additional perks. However, it can be tricky to figure out how, when, and where to collect these bonuses. This guide will explain how to locate your Star Wars Outlaws extras, including the preorder bonus and various cosmetic items that honor characters from the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars Outlaws – How to find preorder items, Gold Edition items, and Ultimate Edition items
If you have pre-ordered any version (standard or higher) of Star Wars Outlaws, you are eligible for various bonuses. The majority of these benefits are cosmetic, but some will expand the game’s content in the future. For a comprehensive list of all the perks coming your way, check our Star Wars Outlaws preorder guide. Since every bonus is claimed in the same manner, here’s how you add them to your collection:
To fully experience the main plot, make sure you proceed until you encounter a mission titled “New Tricks”. We’d rather not give away any details, but let me tell you, you’ll find yourself aboard a spaceship with various areas to interact, such as an area for upgrading your blaster, feeding your pet companion Nix, and much more.
Inside the hangar of the ship, there’s a container labeled as a delivery box. Opening this will instantly provide you with a collection of items that you have unlocked due to your specific purchase. This ship and its corresponding crate can only be accessed during this specific mission. If you don’t follow the main storyline, it might take several hours before you receive your items.
As I dive into the game, remember this: don’t be surprised if a flurry of side quests and intriguing distractions like mini gambling games come your way before you get a shot at the delivery crate. This is part of the game’s effort to give us a gritty, unseen side of Star Wars that we’ve never experienced before, as TopMob’s Steve Watts suggests. However, these additions are purely cosmetic, so there’s no need to hurry to them to make Kay and Nix’s adventure any easier; they can only help make our journey more fashionable instead.
