The latest update for Star Trek: Online, Season 34 titled Star Trek Online: Unleashed, is now available! Developer Deca Games has announced a special armor set players can earn by taking part in the launch event. The update released on PC on September 23, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 11, 2025. The launch event runs until October 23, 2025 on PC and December 10, 2025 on consoles.

Deca Games announced that the content added with Season 34 will stay in *Star Trek Online* permanently as part of its regular missions and activities. However, there’s also a special, limited-time event where players can earn a unique reward. By playing new content like the latest story episode and the new cooperative Task Force Operation, players can unlock the Elite Hazard Team equipment set for ground combat. This set is inspired by the gear featured in *Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force*, a first-person shooter game from 2000.
The Elite Hazard Team’s gear package includes three key items: protective body armor, a personal shield, and a special weapon called the Arc Welder. The armor and shield offer strong protection and actually *increase* damage from energy weapons if the user is stunned or knocked down. They also provide a bonus – either increased energy weapon damage while aiming, or faster running speed when not aiming. The Arc Welder delivers ongoing electrical damage and is inspired by a weapon from the game *Elite Force*.
Completing the collection will also give you access to a unique Starfleet uniform inspired by the Hazard Team suits from *Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force*.
Besides unlocking new equipment, players who make enough progress will get 30,000 Dilithium Ore. This ore is a key currency for buying strong items in the game. If you finish the event progress quickly, you can keep earning more dilithium by completing daily event tasks.
You can play *Star Trek Online* on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game’s *Unleashed* update will be released on September 23, 2025 for PC players, and on November 11, 2025 for those on consoles.
