As a dedicated Stalker fan who has been patiently waiting for this moment since the original trilogy left me yearning for more, I can confidently say that the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl feels like stepping back into a pair of trusty boots that have been gathering dust in my old bunker. Despite some technical hiccups and life simulations that didn’t quite meet expectations (a little more stability, please, GSC Game World), the sheer anticipation and the longing for this game have propelled it to reach one million buyers in less than two days.

In just under two days since the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, developers GSC Game World have shared sales figures on their official Discord server. They revealed that over one million copies of the game have been sold. Yet, they noted that many more people have played the game due to its availability through the Game Pass subscription service.

It’s hardly surprising that the Zone feels a tad congested. With over a million units sold and numerous adventurers joining the artifact hunt thanks to Game Pass, it’s no wonder the area is bustling.

Our incredible journey has only just begun, and the spirit of Chernobyl grows stronger within all of us.

With gratitude as deep as the X-Labs network, we want to say: Thank You, stalkers!

It’s not surprising that STALKER 2, being one of the most highly anticipated games of 2024 with a long-standing player anticipation, managed to sell well despite issues like suboptimal performance, errors, or an unfulfilling life simulation as initially expected.

As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to see that those who bought the game are genuinely enjoying it, evident from the “very positive” ratings on Steam and impressive activity results. Here’s hoping that GSC Game World continues to refine this gem, ensuring its longevity. Luckily, the modding community stands ready to lend a helping hand in this endeavor.
