Having grown up playing the original on my trusty SNES, the nostalgia is overwhelming. Yet, the promise of a full remake with updated graphics, voice acting in English and Japanese, and new difficulty modes has me eagerly awaiting October 24th.
Today, Square Enix unveiled a preliminary video concerning Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. In this clip, Shinichi Tatsuke, the producer for the remake, delved into the history of the initial game and shared details about what enthusiasts can anticipate from the complete overhaul. Shinichi provided some background on the launch for western audiences, discussing contemporaries like Final Fantasy VI and Secret of Mana that were also released around the same time as the original Romancing SaGa 2.
In the upcoming video primer, you’ll find that the remake of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven will be available in not just English and Japanese, but also French, German, and Spanish. Additionally, the game will feature voiceovers in both English and Japanese languages. For players who prefer a more accessible gaming experience, new Easy and Normal difficulty modes will be included alongside the original Classic mode as options for the remake.
