Delighted by the recent Steam updates, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the 1.2.0 patches for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series on my iOS and Android devices. Not only do these updates introduce exciting new features, but they finally equip our versions with the font and BGM options that other platforms have enjoyed all along!
The recent updates for the 1.2.0 Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series have introduced new features such as a Job Level in boost options for Final Fantasy III, modifications to the Cid event branching conditions in Final Fantasy VI, and more. Starting today, these updates are being rolled out for mobile versions on both iOS and Android devices. Although it’s great that the updates came less than a week after their announcement, today’s updates are particularly significant because they finally introduce BGM (Background Music) and font options. These features allow players to switch between the new Pixel Remaster soundtracks or the original soundtrack and use the classic pixel-style font option, which were available in the console versions and were later added to the PC version but not the mobile releases until now.
At present, there’s no word on when the console versions will receive the features of the 1.2.0 update. However, you can view the details for the iOS 1.2.0 update in the following text. Unfortunately, the Android patch notes only highlight the new background music and font options without mentioning the 1.2.0 features.
