It’s been disclosed that EA Sports FC will soon offer a seamless Spotify integration, enabling gamers to play their preferred tunes during gameplay.
For many years now, the FIFA and EA Sports Football Club series have compiled an impressive collection of popular soundtracks, showcasing some of the world’s most renowned musicians. Ranging from timeless classics such as Blur’s Song #2 to contemporary hits like CHIHIRO by Billie Eilish.
However, an enduring feature of this series has been its iconic soundtracks. Yet, players have consistently asked for the option to play their personal music during gameplay on the field.
Based on information from a reliable source who has leaked details about Electronic Arts’ FIFA series, it seems that the long-awaited feature of complete Spotify integration within the game could be implemented soon.
Leak reveals that Spotify integration is coming to EA FC
In a post on May 1st, ‘DonkTrading’ disclosed that Spotify is set to debut in EAFC (Electronic Arts Football Club). This anticipated arrival could happen as soon as EA FC 26, slated for release towards the end of 2025. For now, the service is being trial-run in Australia and Saudi Arabia, but it’s expected to become available globally eventually.
While they avoided providing the details, they did hint at a feature where players can enjoy listening to various songs or podcasts within the game.
π Exciting news! Spotify is set to make its debut at the EAFC, with plans for testing among users in Australia and Saudi Arabia. From the leaked information, it’s not certain whether FIFA 26 by EA will incorporate a Spotify tab directly into the game, enabling users to pick their preferred music and manage it while playing, or if it will provide an option to link accounts and compile your personal soundtrack.
Instead, you might find that just streaming Spotify on your gaming console or computer will replace the music and sound effects within the game.
Currently, you can enjoy various music in EA FC 25 on consoles, but this is only achievable through Spotify apps on Xbox or PlayStation. However, this feature often interferes with game menus or action on the field, causing both to overpower each other if you don’t adjust the game’s soundtrack and audio settings accordingly.
If the new feature is introduced in EA Football Club 26, it will significantly enhance the experience of participating in Squad Battles or completing Squad Building Challenges, as you’ll be able to kick back, play your preferred music or podcast, and engage without any complications.
