1047 Games finally unveiled fresh updates for their free-to-play shooter game Splitgate 2, which officially launches its version 1.0 today. The announcement made at Summer Game Fest 2025 revealed that not only is the game introducing a battle royale mode, but it’s available immediately alongside Splitgate 2.

The founder of Splitgate, Ian Proulx, expressed his gratitude to the fans on the day of the game’s 1.0 release with a heartfelt message: “From the deepest part of me, I want to say thank you. This community means more to me than you can imagine.
In a bustling scene for battle royale video games, the multiplayer mode in Splitgate is entering, facing stiff competition from established titles such as Fortnite, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), and Call of Duty: Warzone, which have become popular choices.
