Immediately following its launch, it garnered an avalanche of highly favorable feedback. In less than a day, the number of players on Steam climbed to an astounding 197,434.
Last Friday, March 28th, it was unveiled by Guinness World Records that Split Fiction had shattered three distinct records. This elicited a reaction from the studio’s creator.

As per Greatest White Room’s report, each of Split Fiction’s recordings emphasizes that the game provides a local cooperative mode for players to relish together.
Here are all three records awarded to Split Fiction:
- Most played local co-op video game on Steam
- Most sold local co-op video game on Steam
- Most sold local co-op video game within one week of release
Following the announcement from Guinness World Records about Split Fiction, its game director, Josef Fares, expressed gratitude to fans for their contributions towards its achievement.
