It’s been disclosed by the voice talent portraying Spider-Man in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man that character Peter Parker will indeed contribute to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, even though an official announcement about the game is yet to come.
In an interview with The Direct, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal revealed, “There isn’t much I can discuss about this game, but you’ve stumbled upon the one thing I can address: yes, Peter is not finished. He will appear in the upcoming game and won’t just be watching from the sidelines; I assure you of that.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players take on the roles of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as joint main characters. The game concludes with Peter stepping back from his superhero responsibilities to let Miles become the primary protector of New York City. But a post-credits scene suggests that another character may be playable in the next installment.
At the moment, Insomniac Games hasn’t unveiled Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 yet, but they are focusing on their Wolverine project, which still lacks a release date. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 debuted on PS5 in 2023 and was later released on PC last month to mixed reviews. It’s also worth noting that Insomniac has shared no plans for additional story content related to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
