A new rumor suggests that actress Isabella Ferreira, who appears in the upcoming Spider-Man 4, won’t be immediately identified by her true character name. The movie is reportedly designed to initially mislead audiences into thinking she’s playing a minor character before revealing she’s actually Jean. This twist is reminiscent of the surprise reveal in Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Zendaya’s character was ultimately confirmed to be Michelle Jones (MJ), not Mary Jane, creating a similar sense of unexpected identity.

Even before the latest buzz, people online have been guessing about what role Sadie Sink will play, especially after it was announced she’ll be in Avengers: Secret Wars. Some fans think she might be playing Jean Grey, a popular character from the Marvel universe. Others have speculated she could be Rachel Summers, Jean Grey and Cyclops’ daughter in the comics.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the upcoming Spider-Man movie, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Zendaya, who won an Emmy for her role as MJ, and Jacob Batalon will reprise their roles. The cast also includes Sadie Sink (known from Stranger Things), Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher, Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Michael Mando (Better Call Saul) as Scorpion, Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning) as Tombstone, and Tramell Tillman (Severance). There were previous reports that Tillman might play the new leader of the Department of Damage Control.

Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the upcoming film, confirmed by photos from the set, after initially downplaying his involvement. Earlier reports hinted that Hulk might revert to his more aggressive ‘Savage Hulk’ form in the movie, and potentially also appear in a future Spider-Man film. Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito are producing the film.
