Keith David has responded to inquiries about his voice being in the Spider-Man 4 trailer.
Spider-Man 4, currently titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be hitting U.S. theaters this summer. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Wonder Man and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing the film. Tom Holland will be returning as Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, continuing his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
What did Keith David say about Spider-Man 4?
After the Spider-Man 4 trailer came out last week, a lot of Marvel fans thought they recognized David’s voice in the voice-over. While David hasn’t been officially announced as part of the cast, people have been wondering if it really was him and, if so, what role he might have in the movie.
David finally replied on Twitter, but his response was unclear. He only posted a thinking face emoji when asked if his voice was in the movie’s trailer, so it’s still not certain if he’s involved.
It looks like David is subtly suggesting he’s involved in the movie, but fans will need to wait for official confirmation from Marvel and Sony about his role. There’s speculation about who he might play – some think it could be the Jackal, a character rumored to appear, while others believe he could be providing the voice for Tombstone, a role already cast with Marvin Jones III.
