Spider-Man 2 Fans Just Got This Tiny Detail Changed In A New Update

As a lifelong Spider-Man fan who can recite every line from the Sam Raimi trilogy and own multiple versions of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blu-ray, I must admit that Insomniac Games has once again won my heart with their latest update for Spider-Man 2. The fact that they’ve taken the time to fix a detail as small as the color of Peter Parker’s suit soles is nothing short of impressive. It’s like they’re reading my mind!

Enthusiasts of comic books, particularly those who love superheroes, are known for being meticulous, noticing the tiniest details in a hero’s attire. However, an overlooked detail has been introduced in the recent update of Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 that even die-hard fans might have missed. Yet, some eagle-eyed fans did spot it, and Insomniac acknowledges the community’s feedback as the reason for this change.

On Insomniac’s official website, you can see that the suit worn by Peter Parker (Spider-Man) from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has undergone a slight alteration. Specifically, the soles of the costume have been switched from red to black, mimicking the footwear as shown in the movie. This is just one of several minor adjustments that Insomniac has made to enhance the overall accuracy of the costume.

This latest update resolves an issue in Spider-Man’s Last Stand and Webbed suits where the Spider symbol overlaps on the chest and back. Insomniac Games further mentioned that the update includes more stability and fixes, aimed at preventing a frequent crash that players have been reporting. However, there are no other specific details provided in this update.

Fans of Spider-Man 2 are curious if there will be more downloadable content (DLC) added to the game’s storyline. Marvel’s Spider-Man was released in 2018, and it was initially announced that its three-part DLC, The City That Never Sleeps, would come out soon after. However, neither Sony nor Insomniac has shared similar plans for Spider-Man 2 as of yet. While it might be a while until we see the sequel, Insomniac is currently developing a game featuring Wolverine instead.
