As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited about Sega’s announcement of the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition! However, it seems that this epic adventure won’t be making its way to the PlayStation 5 just yet – at least not in the immediate future. The game is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC, but as of now, there’s no official word on when we PS5 gamers might get our hands on it. Fingers crossed for a potential announcement down the line!
The game is set to debut on June 10, and you can access it via Xbox Game Pass. For PC users, the game can be purchased through Steam or the Epic Games Store.
Some speculate that Microsoft may have struck a deal with Sega for Game Pass, considering its launch on day one. Previously, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer expressed interest in providing players with options about where they play their games, rather than resorting to questionable platform tactics to dictate their choices. Notably, Space Marine is among the games published by Sega.
Originally launched in 2011 across Xbox 360, PS3, and PC by Relic Entertainment, the game is now making its debut on newer Xbox models with the Master Crafted edition, as Space Marine was previously unavailable on any Xbox other than the Xbox 360 due to not being included in the backwards-compatibility program for more recent Xbox consoles.
The Master Crafted version, created by SneakyBox, offers a 4K resolution, updated controls, a revamped user interface, enhanced character designs, and remastered sound.
