Crashes and bug fixes

  • Fixed some rare possible crashes when starting the game
  • Fixed a rare possible crash that occured during the first cutscene
  • Fixed several other rare crashes
  • Fixed several rare bugs that were causing soft locks in the story mode

PC Only

  • Optimized CPU behavior on high end CPUs

Initially, this update tackled multiple instances of the game crashing for all users. These crashes were often experienced at the start of the game or during the opening scene, as well as some uncommon ones. Fortunately, we’ve also resolved these less frequent crashes. Here’s hoping your gaming experience will be smoother with fewer overall crashes now.

Additionally, the developers have implemented a new correction specifically for PC gamers. They’ve fine-tuned the CPU operation to run more efficiently on powerful processors, potentially enhancing the overall game speed.

Big Update Coming Soon for Space Marine 2

Focus Entertainment has announced that a larger expansion is forthcoming, enriching the gameplay experience for players with additional content. This expansion will incorporate:

  • Ultra Wide Support
  • Private PVE lobbies
  • Sparring area

Initially, having Ultra Wide Monitor Support extends the game length on certain configurations. However, the most significant modifications are introduced as a new Sparring Arena and Private PvE rooms. The former introduces a fresh battle barge location, while the latter offers a more convenient method for playing with friends.

Currently, when playing Space Marine 2, you cannot set up a personal Private vs Environment (PvE) lobby for exclusive use with friends. Instead, there’s a chance that other players may randomly join your lobby. However, we eagerly anticipate the improvements and new features that will be introduced in Space Marine 2’s upcoming major update.

In our tests, Space Marine 2 performs smoothly, but we’ve noticed a problem connecting with other players online. Disabling Crossplay doesn’t seem to resolve it. Fingers crossed that this gets fixed in the upcoming update. For now, let’s just say that Space Marine 2 has been a delightful gaming journey so far. Plus, with fresh free content on the horizon, you’ll have even more incentives to return and battle the servants of Chaos!
