After a brief delay last week, *South Park* has returned with a new episode. Matt and Trey explained that the September 17th episode wasn’t finished on time, taking responsibility for the missed deadline. Fans were particularly interested in this episode because it was expected to address the recent fictional death of Charlie Kirk, a character the show had previously satirized. However, it appears *South Park* is temporarily shelving that storyline. This week’s episode will instead focus on “prediction markets apps” similar to Robinhood, and will feature a typical rivalry between Kyle and Cartman. Promotional material also suggests the ongoing subplot involving Satan’s baby with Trump will continue. Fans are now wondering when (and how) this baby will be born!
It’s still unclear how the creators of *South Park* will address the passing of Charlie Kirk on the show. Comedy Central removed the episode that satirized him from television broadcasts. However, a producer for *The Charlie Kirk Show* stated that Kirk actually enjoyed the episode and wanted it to continue airing. Fortunately for fans, you can still watch the episode, titled “Got a Nut,” on Paramount+.
