## Solana’s Gender-Bending Ads: 😬
Well folks, it seems the Solana Foundation decided to get a little too “woke” with their latest marketing campaign 🤨. Picture this: a man, “America,” talking to a therapist about crypto and innovation. The therapist, bless their heart, decides America needs to figure out his gender and pronouns before worrying about blockchain technology. Talk about a therapy session gone sideways! 💀
Apparently, this gem of an ad, complete with patriotic music and a monologue about reclaiming innovation, didn’t exactly land as planned. Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, who seems to have a knack for disagreeing with his own team, quickly distanced himself from the campaign, claiming a previous ad was better. You know, the “Maren ad”? Sounds much more…subtle. 😉
The internet, naturally, had a field day 🍿. Industry figures called out the ad as tone-deaf, pandering, and frankly, offensive. Some even accused Solana of prioritizing controversy over creativity. It seems like a classic case of “woke-washing” backfired spectacularly.
In the end, the ad was deleted after a Twitter storm of epic proportions, leaving behind a trail of bewildered onlookers and a whole lot of questions. Was it a marketing blunder of epic proportions? A desperate attempt to stay relevant? Or just plain weird? 🤔
