SNL Adds Three New Cast Members for Season 50

As a fervent supporter of the ever-evolving world of comedy and entertainment, I am thrilled to welcome Emil Wakim, Ashley Padilla, and Jane Wickline to Saturday Night Live for its momentous 50th season! Each brings a unique flavor, charm, and wit that is sure to enrich the already iconic SNL stage.

For its 50th season, Saturday Night Live is set to welcome three new cast members: Emil Wakim, Ashley Padilla, and Jane Wickline. Hailing from Chicago but currently residing in Brooklyn, Wakim is one of the comedians to watch out for in 2024. Padilla is a talented improviser who hails from The Groundlings’s Main Stage Company, having grown up in the Bay Area and previously appearing on Night Court and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Wickline, on the other hand, has garnered a significant following with her sketch performances on TikTok, boasting over 45.5 million likes, and was a cast member of Stapleview, a live sketch show on the app.

It’s been revealed that Chloe Troast is leaving SNL, following her single season as a cast member. Trost herself confirmed the news on Instagram, expressing regret about not being able to return to the friends she made there, as it felt like home. However, it seems her plans didn’t align with reality. Recently, Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney also announced their departures from the show. With this, the cast for Season 50 stands at 17 members. Take a look below to see how the fresh faces will add their unique touch to the upcoming season.

Padilla understandably wiped out most of her online presence ahead of the announcement, but look! She worked on a book with Diane Keaton.
