As a seasoned gamer and horror movie enthusiast who has braved countless terrifying virtual worlds, I can confidently say that the upcoming sequel, Smile 2, has my pulse racing with anticipation. The unsettling premise of the film, coupled with the eerie promotional tactics used by Paramount Pictures, only serves to heighten the terror lurking in the corners of our collective consciousness.
As a gamer, I’m hyped for the upcoming sequel, Smile 2, and its tagline really got me: “Can’t you spare a smile?” In the movie, it seems that a grin might just be lethal, much like in the original film. Just like before, Paramount is pulling out all the stops with performers promoting the new flick by flashing their most chilling grins at high-profile events. However, even these seasoned Smile 2 promo actors had a hard time keeping up their creepy grin during one of the baseball playoff games!

2022 saw the debut of Smile, an unanticipated blockbuster. In this movie, Sosie Bacon portrayed Rose Cotter, a therapist tormented by a malevolent spell. As the curse deepened, Rose encountered eerie grins from people everywhere she went. The upcoming Smile 2 introduces Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), a rising pop star, as its latest victim. Similar to Rose, Skye finds herself in a precarious position once struck by the same curse, offering her no escape when it comes after her.
In an exciting turn of events, I’m thrilled to be stepping back into the shoes of Joel from the initial film, linking the two movies together. Alongside me in this adventure are talented actors like Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson. Moreover, the legendary Drew Barrymore is set to make a special appearance as herself in the film!
Smile 2 will hit theaters on Friday, October 18.
