Full Circle Developers have now launched the console testing phase for their upcoming extreme sports title, Skate. Earlier, in a dedicated blog post from 2023, they mentioned that a console playtest would be on its way soon without specifying a date initially. Console players were invited to register prior to its release.

For console players who have registered but haven’t been chosen or are still waiting for an invitation to test Skate, patience will be required since the developer intends to extend invitations to new registrants in the closed playtest. It is anticipated that Full Circle will launch the game through Early Access this year, though no specific release date has been set yet.

Starting on January 9th, 2025, console gamers are officially invited to participate in Skate playtesting, as announced across the game’s social media platforms. This opportunity for console playtesting has been confirmed because it was initially planned for release in Fall 2024, but it turns out it’s available earlier than expected.

The game being referred to as “Skate” – deemed by its creators as an “authentic evolution” of the skateboarding series – is still under development at Full Circle. They’re utilizing playtesting to bring “insiders like you into the game earlier than usual in our industry,” as stated on their FAQ page. In other words, they’re eager for your participation and feedback to help create the best possible game before its global release, because they are deeply invested in Skate.

Currently, eager players wanting to test Skate on consoles need to stay patient and keep an eye on their email inbox for a confirmation message that secures their spot during this closed testing phase. The game doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but it is expected to be launched within the 2025 release window, debuting as a free-to-play title via Early Access.
