Sister Promotes ‘Black Doves’ Exec Producer Chris Fry to Managing Director

The rapidly growing production company, known for hit series like “Black Doves,” “Kaos,” “Chernobyl” and “This is Going to Hurt,” has appointed Chris Fry to the brand new position of Managing Director.

In her previous role as Sister’s joint creative director for scripted content, Fry is now taking on a new responsibility – overseeing the creation and delivery of the company’s TV lineup. She will collaborate closely with the creative, production, and business teams in this role. Sister’s chief creative officer and co-founder, Jane Featherstone, continues to supervise Fry in her new position.

Fry has been instrumental in leading and supervising several of Sister’s top-performing scripted series since 2017, such as the BAFTA and Emmy-winning “Chernobyl,” the Bafta-nominated “Landscapers” for SKY/ HBO, the BAFTA-winning “Giri/Haji” for BBC/Netflix, and more recently, “Black Doves” and “Kaos,” both produced for Netflix.

Forthcoming works for Fry involve acting in “Cold Water” by David Ireland, a production for ITV featuring Andrew Lincoln, as well as the upcoming season of “Black Doves.”

Fry has some new projects on the horizon. These include a role in “Cold Water,” a show by David Ireland for ITV with Andrew Lincoln, and the second installment of “Black Doves.
