SiriusXM Customers Can Get ESPN+ Free for 6 Months (and Vice Versa) Under New Promo Offer

As a long-time movie buff and sports enthusiast, I can’t help but see this partnership between Disney’s ESPN and SiriusXM as a dream come true. Having subscribed to both platforms separately for quite some time now, the thought of enjoying their content on a single platform is nothing short of exhilarating!

Disney’s ESPN and SiriusXM are anticipating that sports enthusiasts might discover an abundance of content to view and hear across their respective streaming platforms, with the hope that they may eventually subscribe to each other’s services.

Media firms have collaborated on a promotional offer that provides their respective streaming service subscribers with six months of complimentary access to the other company’s direct-to-consumer package. As part of this agreement, certain U.S. SiriusXM subscribers can claim up to a six-month subscription to ESPN+ at no extra charge. In contrast, starting later this month, new and existing ESPN+ users in the U.S. will be able to secure a free six-month membership to SiriusXM’s streaming-only service.

After the six-month promotion ends, subscribers will need to pay the standard rates: ESPN+ costs $10.99 per month, while SiriusXM streaming plans start from $9.99 per month.

ESPN+ users can now enjoy the entire collection of SiriusXM content on their SiriusXM app, which includes over 400 personalized, commercial-free music stations. SiriusXM boasts having the most diverse range of live professional and collegiate sporting events in audio format, with more than 20 sports-centric channels that broadcast round-the-clock.

Starting in November, eligible SiriusXM subscribers with Platinum VIP status, along with those on higher tiers, will gain entry to ESPN+. This sports streaming service offers over 32,000 live sporting events annually, including exclusive UFC matches, more than 50 exclusive and a thousand out-of-market NHL games per season, college sports such as football, basketball, and around a dozen other sports from 20 conferences, domestic and international soccer, golf, boxing, tennis, baseball, cricket, and cricket internationally. Additionally, it provides access to original ESPN+ series and studio shows, the entire library of ESPN’s “30 for 30” documentaries, and grand slam tennis events.

During this college football season, ESPN and SiriusXM are collaborating for ESPN Radio’s Campus Tour. This tour, which takes place on Saturdays, involves the live broadcast of ESPN Radio and SiriusXM College Sports Radio shows from a specially designed Airstream trailer at popular tailgating spots.

Partnering with SiriusXM means that ESPN+ subscribers will gain access to their diverse range of entertainment options, but it also gives SiriusXM customers the chance to explore our top-tier sports content on ESPN+,” stated Sean Breen, executive VP of platform distribution at Disney Entertainment and ESPN.

This partnership aims to “bring fans closer to their favorite personalities, athletes, teams, and sports leagues” by combining SiriusXM’s and ESPN+’s sports content, according to Jeff Dallesandro, SiriusXM’s VP of Streaming Distribution Partnerships. The agreement is expected to provide benefits for fans while also potentially boosting growth for both brands.

ESPN and SiriusXM have announced that their special subscription deals are only available temporarily. They plan to send instructions on how to redeem these offers directly to clients who receive promotional emails regarding their respective services.

In the year 2025, ESPN intends to launch what they’ve been referring to as their “Flagship” service – a streaming platform operating independently, offering all content from ESPN’s linear networks and ESPN+, plus extra features. The estimated release date is fall 2025, but the exact pricing details have yet to be revealed.
