The highly anticipated third season of Silo is coming to Apple TV in 2026, and it appears this will be the last season featuring Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, Rebecca Ferguson has stated the new season will premiere sometime this summer. Juliette will be back, but her journey will likely take a different turn.
The second season of Apple TV+’s Silo ended on a shocking note, seemingly trapping Juliette and Bernard in a deadly sterilization chamber. While survival appeared impossible, Juliette was wearing a protective suit made from firefighter gear, suggesting she will live.
It’s now confirmed that she’ll be back for season 3 of Silo, and in a significant role. Interestingly, the end of season 2 suggests that Juliette’s story will change considerably in future seasons, moving away from both what we’ve seen in seasons 1 and 2, and from the plot of the original Hugh Howey books.
Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette Will Have A Significantly Different Arc In Silo Season 3
Throughout the first two seasons of Silo, Juliette’s story centers on her fight for survival and her opposition to those in power within Silo 18. She largely operates as an independent thinker, challenging the rules imposed on everyone living there. In the first season, she faced this challenge mostly on her own, as most others in the Silo were too scared to help.
In the second season, she ended up in a new silo and had to figure out how to get back to her original home. While characters like Martha and Solo helped her along the way, her story was mostly about overcoming challenges on her own, using her strength and ability to survive.
As season 2 of Silo neared its conclusion, Juliette’s story began to change. When she returned to Silo 18, the people there hailed her as a hero and started to rebel against Bernard. The season finale strongly suggests Bernard won’t survive, especially since he wasn’t protected by a firefighter suit like Juliette was.
Now that the people of Silo 18 understand Juliette is their only hope, they’ll probably want her to take charge. This could mean she’ll replace Bernard as the leader in season 3. For the first time, Juliette would have real power, and after being an outcast in a failing silo, she’d finally have the full support of her community.
The ending of Silo season 2 hints that Juliette will have a new and surprising opponent: Camille Sims. While Camille played a smaller role in season 1, she becomes much more important in season 2 and is poised to challenge Juliette. It appears she’ll try to stop Juliette before Juliette can fulfill her goal of leading the people to freedom.
Juliette’s storyline in the second season of Silo felt a bit disappointing because it didn’t really move forward until the very end and felt unnecessary. However, with so much potential still left in her story, it will be exciting to see how she develops in season 3.
Silo Season 3’s Potential Book Changes Will Make Juliette’s Original Story Even Better
Camille Sims isn’t a character in Hugh Howey’s original Silo books, so her prominent role in season 3 of the show signals a significant departure from the novels. Like the second book, Shift, the third season of Silo will also weave together storylines from both the past and the present.
Rather than simply exploring the history of the silos like the second season, the third season of Silo will probably jump between different time periods. This will help show how the original construction of the silos connects to the current power struggles happening in Silo 18.
Season 3 of Silo has the opportunity to expand on the story from the books by continuing to follow Rebecca Ferguson’s character and introducing figures from the past.
It’s still too early to know exactly how the third season of Apple TV+’s Silo will go, but it looks promising. This is especially true because it begins a fresh storyline for Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Juliette.
