The Silent Hill series is planning to expand significantly, with producers hoping to release a new game every year.
The Silent Hill series boasts seven core games and more than eleven additional titles, including spin-offs and remakes. The latest installment, Silent Hill f, has received praise for its unsettling atmosphere and puts players in the role of Shimizu Hinako as she navigates a deeply disturbing world.
It’s been three years since the first Silent Hill games came out, and the producer, Motoi Okamoto, says we can expect new releases on a regular basis – they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
Silent Hill to get yearly releases according to producer
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto shared that the team hopes to release a new Silent Hill game annually.

So, after we launched the Silent Hill 2 remake in October 2024, we were really happy to get Silent Hill f out in September 2025 – it felt like we were getting the series back on its feet. Looking ahead, we’re planning to release a new Silent Hill game roughly once a year, including both the ones we’ve already announced and some surprises we’re keeping under wraps!
Look, I’m not making any promises, but as a producer on Silent Hill, I’m really hoping we can keep the hype going. I’ll do everything I can to make that happen. We’re working on getting you guys some news, so please bear with us – it’ll be worth the wait, hopefully!
It looks like we can expect a new Silent Hill game every year. While we don’t know exactly what 2026 will bring, with the Silent Hill remake and Silent Hill: Townfall already announced, fans are hopeful that at least one of these games will be released then.
