Silent f Hill actress reveals toughest scene
In a recent video, actress Kato shared that she wasn’t permitted to change any of the script’s dialogue, which made the role difficult. She explained that she typically adjusts lines to better suit her delivery, but wasn’t allowed to do that this time, presenting a significant challenge.
Performing in the branching storyline of Silent Hill f, with its many emotional conclusions, was a particularly stressful experience. The actress shared, “Each ending truly touched my heart.” She added that she doubted she’d encounter such a uniquely rewarding role again, calling it a rare and precious opportunity.
But one specific moment proved to be too much for her. While filming a scene featuring two versions of her character, Hinako, Kato explained that she felt disconnected from reality.

She said that particular scene was the most challenging part of filming, and actually the hardest moment of her life. She felt completely disoriented and lost her sense of self. Tears began to flow uncontrollably, and she had to stop filming for a while.
Even though it was emotionally difficult, Kato explained that the first time she saw herself as Hinako, it instantly reminded her of everything she’d experienced.
She admitted the experience was difficult, but also expressed deep gratitude for being involved in such a special project. Thinking about the performance’s future, she shared how strangely moving it felt to imagine someone continuing her role long after she’s gone.
Kato is live on YouTube playing Silent Hill f, experiencing and sharing the game’s story with her viewers as she plays.
