Silent Hill f’s Disclaimer Will Shock You!

Konami recently released a terrifying preview video for the latest Silent Hill game, offering players a glimpse into the grim new main series installment. Although the gory trailer is filled with chilling moments, it’s the game’s warning label that contains the most surprising information.

On March 13th, 2025, Konami unveiled a three-minute preview for Silent Hill f, highlighting the game’s chilling ambiance, lead character, and grotesque monsters haunting the town of Ebisugaoka on a mountain. In line with the spine-tingling vibe of top-tier Silent Hill games, Silent Hill f is expected to offer a frightening and disquieting experience for those brave enough to give it a try.

Instead of the revamped Silent Hill 2 set in the late ’70s/’80s, Silent Hill f transports players to 1960s Japan during the Showa era. It’s then that teenager Shimizu Hinako finds herself battling for survival as a peculiar fog envelops her home town of Ebisugaoka.

Moreover, aside from the mist and the dread lurking within it, players will also have to deal with various challenges.

Silent Hill f issues shocking disclaimer

On its official site, Konami has cautioned fans about the game’s content, stating that it includes scenes of gender bias, child mistreatment, intimidation, drug-fueled delusions, physical torment, and intense violence.

Or simply:
Konami warned fans on its website about the game’s explicit themes, including discrimination, abuse, bullying, hallucinations from drugs, torture, and violent scenes.

The developers clarified that since the game takes place in Japan during the 1960s, it includes representations reflecting the societal norms and cultural practices prevalent during that era.

Besides finding it disturbing, Konami further advises that if the game becomes too much for players, they could consider taking a temporary hiatus from gaming or confide in someone trusted.

In a slightly different wording, it can be expressed as: The ominous undertones and frightening creatures of the Silent Hill series have always been unsettling, particularly Pyramid Head. However, the foreboding warning displayed in Silent Hill f is already managing to spook me more effectively than any trailer has ever done.

As a hardcore fan, I’m eagerly waiting for any news on the upcoming Silent Hill game. To stay updated with the latest information, I’ve been keeping tabs on our dedicated hub, where all the details that Konami has shared so far are compiled.
