Silent Hill f News Coming In Konami’s Showcase This Week

After the impressive performance of Silent Hill last year, we’re eagerly waiting to find out what’s in store for the horror franchise next. Konami has announced that a special event called “Silent Hill Transmission” is scheduled for this Thursday, March 13 at 3 PM Pacific Time / 6 PM Eastern Time. This video presentation will primarily focus on Silent Hill f, which is the upcoming mainline game in the series.

In 2022, we got a glimpse of Silent Hill 5, but since then, no further updates have been shared. The teaser trailer for this game was unveiled alongside other Silent Hill projects, including the remake of Silent Hill 2 and the ongoing development of Silent Hill: Townfall by No Code. From Konami’s tweet, it appears that only these titles will be discussed during their showcase.

Previously reported, Silent Hill f is being developed by Neobards, a studio known for assisting Resident Evil games, including remakes for Resident Evil 2, 3, and multiplayer mode of Resident Evil 7, as well as ReVerse. The narrative for this game will be crafted by renowned Japanese writer Ryukishi07, creator of the popular When They Cry visual novel series.

If the upcoming game is part of the Silent Hill series, it would mark the first new installment since 2012. Moreover, it would be the first title developed by a Japanese team in over two decades, with the last being Team Silent’s Silent Hill 4: The Room, released in 2004.

To keep you informed before the upcoming Silent Hill Transmission, we’ve gathered and shared everything we currently know about Silent Hill f, including our theory on its peculiar title, so you can get up to speed in the meantime.
