Netflix recently revealed a fresh sneak peek at the upcoming second season, complete with its airing dates for both halves.
As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the first half of Wednesday‘s Season 2 is set to premiere on my calendar for August 6th. The second installment will follow suit on September 3rd. For those who, like me, can’t wait to see what happens next, the latest trailer, brimming with returning favorites from season one and intriguing new characters, is now available for viewing below. For this upcoming season, the creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, mentioned that the storyline will be even more intricate as the character deals with family, friends, fresh mysteries, and recurring enemies, thrusting her into another year at Nevermore. They are eager to delve deeper into Addams Family folklore and can’t wait to present an assortment of fascinating new characters to join the series.
Jenna Ortega Returns as Wednesday Addams
In the official summary for Season 2, it says that “Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) reappears to explore the eerie corridors of Nevermore Academy. New challenges and difficulties are on the horizon as she faces fresh enemies, old friends, and familiar foes. This season follows Wednesday’s journey through another year filled with dark humor, peculiar chaos, and spine-tingling mysteries. Equipped with her unique sharp wit and dry humor, Wednesday continues to navigate through a web of family, friendships, and past adversaries, all while unraveling a new supernatural enigma.
Additionally, the season welcomes back the beloved Addams Family members such as Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez (Luis Guzman), Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen). We also have recurring characters like Enid (Emma Myers), Eugene (Moosa Mostafa), Ajax (Georgie Farmer), and Tyler (Hunter Doohan). Joining the cast as series regulars for Season 2 are Steve Buscemei, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah B. Taylor.
