This ending seemed fitting for Tyler’s character arc because in the final scene with him and Lori on stage, a more sinister side of Tyler emerged, hinted at subtly throughout the movie, and it culminated in a shocking turn when he was stabbed. I found this conclusion to be both symbolic and gruesome.

Throughout the night, Tyler seemed discomforted around Tiffany, and his interactions with Lori noticeably angered Tiffany and her mother.
