5. Nick: Nick is fatally wounded by Barr while trying to protect Reacher and is left to bleed out in the warehouse.
6. KOA Ranger: The KOA Ranger is killed in a car explosion that Barr sets up as a trap for Reacher.
7. The Hitman (unnamed): The hitman, hired by Barr, is shot and killed by Reacher during their confrontation at the docks.

Episode 7 concludes with Reacher finding himself ensnared, and Episode 8, titled ‘Unfinished Business’, opens with a series of villains being eliminated in a shootout, along with several ATF agents meeting their demise. These were secondary characters who perish at the end, while terrorist Nasser and his associates also meet their end at the hands of Susan Duffy. However, the three significant deaths that occur are as follows…

Paulie’s efforts backfire

Season 3 of Reacher has been gradually escalating towards what we referred to as the “century’s biggest brawl,” as colossal bodyguard Paulie stands over a foot taller than Jack. Their animosity has simmered throughout the show, with Jack embarrassing Paulie in the gym and Paulie rendering Jack breathless with just one slap.

In Episode 8, the accumulated tension between them erupts into a brutal confrontation, with both parties clashing violently, sending them crashing into trucks, shelves, and tables. It gets intense with choking attempts, eye-poking scenes, and even an underwater fistfight.

Eventually, the scene shifts to a small storage shed, where Paulie finds a large firearm. He aims it at Jack, threateningly stating, “You crossed a line by messing with me. I’m larger than you. I’m more powerful than you.

After that, he pulls the trigger, yet instead of ending Jack’s life, the gun recoils, striking Paulie in both his chest and face. With a smug grin, Jack remarks, “You may be larger and more powerful, but I am wittier.” He had previously removed a bullet from his belt and blocked the barrel with it. Upon hearing those words, Paulie succumbs to his injuries.

Zachary Beck dies saving his son

Initially in the early episodes of Season 3, Zachary Beck seems to embody the antagonist’s role, operating a carpet company that masks illicit activities. However, as the storyline unfolds, it is revealed that Beck is actually manipulated by Xavier Quinn.

In a seemingly hopeless predicament, Beck follows Quinn’s instructions to ensure the survival of his son Richie, eventually facing off with his manipulator in Episode 8.

In Beck’s office, Zachary brandishes a fake gun (a broken toy gun that Richie had given him), intending to threaten Quinn. However, the toy gun malfunctions, and when its tip starts to fall apart, Quinn seizes the opportunity, grabs an Uzi instead, and fires several shots into Beck senior’s chest. Despite the tragic circumstances, Richie had come to appreciate his father’s goodness before his untimely demise.

Xavier Quinn gets shot in the head, again

In the third season, through a flashback sequence, it was revealed that Xavier Quinn was a treacherous military officer who betrayed his country by disclosing secrets to America’s adversaries. He furthermore took the life of Reacher’s friend and comrade, Dominique Kohl. Consequently, Jack retaliated by fatally shooting Quinn in the head.

It’s surprising to learn that his enemy remains alive, leading Jack to take up the task of eliminating him once more during Season 3. His chance to do so arrives toward the end of Episode 8.

In a situation where Quinn requires funds from an arms transaction to settle debts with some Russians, but the money doesn’t arrive on time, these Russians capture him as retaliation. However, Jack’s acquaintance Neagley understands the significance of protecting Quinn for her friend. Consequently, she manages to acquire the necessary funds and warns the Russians that if they don’t release Quinn to Reacher, she will destroy it. The Russians consent to this arrangement, enabling Reacher to secure Quinn, who is now in his custody to deal with as he sees fit.

In simpler terms, when Quinn attempts to negotiate with his latest captor, Jack appears unresponsive, focusing solely on avenging his deceased friend Dominique. Reacher, in a decisive move, declares, “What truly counts is her name was Dominique,” before fatally shooting Quinn – a move that proved lethal and marked the end of him. This act signifies the demise of all three main antagonists in Season 3, as it occurs in Episode 8.
