Shocking Crossover: Chicago Med Loses Key Character for Unbelievable Chicago Fire Appearance!

In Chicago Med’s Season 10 Episode 20, you may have observed a significant character was absent. The reason for this is that the character made an appearance in this week’s Chicago Fire episode instead.

Due to NBC’s One Chicago series, we can enjoy watching Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD simultaneously. Although each show is in a separate season, they share an equal number of episodes, broadcasted consecutively every Wednesday evening.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve come to realize that if you immerse yourself deeply into addictive TV series for an extended period, chances are you might encounter some surprising connections. Given that all three shows unfold within the same chronology, characters can effortlessly traverse from one show to another, making it feel like a grand, interconnected universe.

Surprisingly, something occurred during Chicago Med’s Season 10, Episode 20. A familiar character was absent, only to appear in Chicago Fire instead. However, the reason behind this switch remains unclear.

Asher swapped Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 20 for Chicago Fire

In an unexpected twist, it seems I took the day off at Chicago Med during Season 10’s Episode 20, but found myself making a special appearance on Chicago Fire’s Season 13 Episode 20 instead!

Under the title ‘Split Me Apart,’ she encountered Firehouse 51’s Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd, following an encounter at Gaffney where they were building a relationship with the potential birth mother of a child they aspire to adopt. In this role, she served as their official obstetrician and gynecologist.

On Instagram, actor Jessy Schram posted, “I’m thrilled to head to #ChicagoFire for tonight’s episode and become part of a fantastic storyline. It’s not an exaggeration that @mrmayo and @taylorkinney111 shine in this episode… we guest stars. Working with these talented actors and the crew is an immense privilege, and I get to continue developing Dr. Asher’s role on another set.

Rest assured, this doesn’t alter the build-up to Chicago Med’s final episode. Asher will make his appearance in the second last episode instead. At the start of the episode, Goodwin announces Asher’s absence. Meanwhile, several nurses are absent too, causing Gaffney’s Emergency Department to operate understaffed during a critical period.

Despite a slight delay this week, we don’t anticipate any more disruptions in our regular weekly broadcast. The final episode of the season is set for broadcast on May 21, 2025, as planned.
