Sharp Fang Location in Monster Hunter Wilds

As an avid fan of Monster Hunter Wilds, I’ve found myself intrigued by the Sharp Fangs – a key material for crafting the Chatacabra armor set. Once you’ve unlocked the skill to create this set, you might find yourself eagerly searching for these fangs. To craft the Chatacabra Coil, however, you’ll need one Sharp Fang, along with other materials and Zenny. If you’re unsure about where to acquire this elusive material, fear not! This guide aims to clear up any confusion and help you find those coveted Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds.

In the guide provided, you’ll find various methods for getting Sharp Fangs. However, it’s highly probable that additional sources aren’t necessary as the strategies explained should suffice for your needs.

Sharp Fang Location in Monster Hunter Wilds

Gajios & Talioth

Fangs from two small creatures, Gajios and Talioth, can be obtained from their carcasses. You’ll find these creatures in the Windward Plains, the initial ecosystem of Monster Hunter Wilds, with Area 8 being the ideal spot to hunt them down. Interestingly enough, both Gajios, a creature resembling a crocodile, and Talioth, a velociraptor-like beast, are often spotted near water bodies in Area 8. The area has been clearly marked on your previous map for easier navigation.

As a gamer, here’s how I would rephrase it: “To find exactly where the Gajios and Talioth are hiding, you can utilize the Filter Icons feature. To activate this, open your map, look for the ‘Filter Icons’ option in the bottom-left corner of your screen, then choose ‘Small Monsters’. Once you’ve done that, you can select either Gajios or Talioth. This will enable you to mark a waypoint right on top of the monster you chose.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, when you find a Gajios or Talioth, just take out your preferred weapon and kill the small beast. Afterward, make your way to the carcass and click on the visible prompt to gather the monster’s materials.

It’s worth mentioning that every time you harvest a Gajio carcass, it will produce a Sharp Fang. However, this isn’t true for Talioth carcasses. This means that Gajios are more reliable when it comes to farming Sharp Fangs, although they might be less common than Talioth. Therefore, in the world of Monster Hunter, players should seize any chance to defeat Talioth when they appear, as they may not always drop the material you’re after.

Crafting with Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds

Previously mentioned, a Sharp Fang is essential for creating the Chatacabra Coil, an accessory boosting the Speed Eating Equipment Skill by one level and contributing to the activation of the Flexible Leathercraft Group Skill. Interestingly, this isn’t the sole item that necessitates Sharp Fangs; they are also required for crafting the Talioth Vambraces, armguards that bestow the Leap of Faith Skill. No matter what players intend to accomplish with their Sharp Fangs, it is recommended they pay Gemma, the Smithy, a visit at any Base Camp once they have some in stock.
