It was truly an extraordinary period. I’m undeniably disappointed that it got cancelled, but there was something special about how it concluded – it felt like a perfect peak. Sometimes events can drag on endlessly, but these last two years were simply unforgettable and exceptional. They were the best times of my life so far, and we’re all still very close friends now. Simply put, it was fantastic!

It definitely didn’t outstay its welcome.

As I reflect on my unexpected journey into the world of acting, I must admit, I never envisioned this life for myself. It seems fate led me here, as I found myself in the right place at the right time. And just like that, the opportunity to star in Shadow and Bone came knocking.

At first, I felt a whirlwind of emotions. From being Jessie Mei from Redhill, England, to suddenly being recognized was a shock I couldn’t fully grasp. Yet, it was an experience that taught me invaluable lessons. I immersed myself in every aspect of production, eagerly asking questions about lighting, camera angles, and everyone’s roles on set.

Now, when I walk onto a set, I feel well-versed in the world of filmmaking. My increased understanding has undoubtedly made me a better actor. So, I’m eternally grateful for Shadow and Bone. It provided an ideal first stepping stone into this captivating industry.

Oh, the thought of reuniting with my pals for a trip back to enchanting Budapest is simply irresistible! It’s a dream come true, and believe me, we’ve been reminiscing about it. Every now and then, you’ll find us musing, “Perhaps it’s time to return to the magical streets of Budapest for a well-deserved vacation?” It’s like stepping back in time!
