I had a clear desire to create a specific sound for Harmony, as she wasn’t primarily influenced by her mother but rather by influential figures. I believed that such authority carries a distinctive quality, like a drill sergeant who has a unique rhythm, pitch, and tone that exudes authority.

Then it occurs to you about various executive-level individuals and their manner of speaking, which seems to be how you imagine it. It appears she has developed an impression of them based on this idea.

Additionally, she shared insights on how the American TV series Maude (airing from 1972 to 1978 in the U.S.) played a role in shaping some aspects of Cobel’s speech and manner of speaking.

Arquette noted that Bea Arthur had a unique way of speaking, which paid a subtle tribute to Maude as well. Additionally, he mentioned that Cobel seems to take pleasure in the significance of his name, as it holds great meaning for her.
