Sesame Street moves to a different streaming service following Warner Bros. Discovery’s choice not to renew their partnership with HBO Max. To focus more on adult and family programming, fresh episodes of the cherished show won’t be streamed on this platform; however, some parts of the Sesame Street collection will stay accessible there until 2027. Instead, new episodes are scheduled to air on PBS and PBS Kids apps.
Starting this year, I’m excited to share that I’ll be able to revisit and discover both new and classic episodes of “Sesame Street” on Netflix! Although the specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, we can expect the freshly revamped 56th season, along with approximately 90 hours of cherished past episodes, to simultaneously debut on Netflix, PBS, and the PBS Kids app. In addition, Netflix has hinted at an exciting new format for the upcoming season – one continuous 11-minute story that promises to highlight character-driven fun! And if you’re a fan of “Peppa Pig,” I’ve got good news too: season 7 is now available to stream on Netflix. Enjoy the journey, fellow viewers!
