Initially, I tried to downplay it, saying something like “We don’t know whose it is.” But people seemed to already know. Frankly, I didn’t fully grasp it at the time, and I’m still unsure about the producers’ reasoning behind keeping this secret. I want to be honest, I want my audience to connect with me, regardless of the outcome. Sometimes you never know how things will turn out, but showing it as it is seemed like a better narrative choice. In other words, they chose not to inform me about what was happening behind my back, which is why that situation unfolded as it did.
Regarding the rumor Nicole started about me dating a married man in 2021, let me set the record straight. I want to make it clear that there’s absolutely no truth to this claim. What actually happened was I showed this person some properties and then they expressed interest in investing in my empanada company. However, I declined their offer, and since then, there has been no contact between us. To clarify, I never had any physical interaction with this individual, such as touching, kissing or holding hands. The whole situation came as a total surprise to me, and I was betrayed by everyone involved because it’s clearly slanderous, defamatory, and harmful in every way.
It wasn’t a situation where I could justify anything like, “Well, technically, the person I was interacting with was separated or going through a divorce.” Instead, this individual contacted me while they were in the process of divorcing and presented their legal separation documents, asking for my help viewing a property. Although there may have been some feelings involved, nothing more than that transpired between us. That’s what made Nicole’s comments particularly disappointing.
Additionally, her informant contacted me following the revelations and expressed, “Emma, I simply want to assure you, I’m not sure why Nicole is claiming this. I never suggested it was an affair. I can’t fathom why she would do that.” Many people including Mary, Jason, Brett, and others have been reaching out to me saying, “We are deeply sorry. We stand with you completely. Whatever you require us to do, we’re ready. We have no knowledge of such an incident occurring.
Is there any speculation as to why she chose to present this issue on camera? It appears that her storyline, and consequently the attention she receives, stems primarily from confrontations with other women. She targeted Chrishell during the first season, which may have been a factor in her being cast. Now it seems my turn has come. I can understand her approach, but at least let me express myself. The production team didn’t provide me with an opportunity to do so. I was not aware of these developments until the day before I received the screeners for the show.
It seems you’re wondering if Mary, Amanza, and their friend knew where the rumor originated from? Well, according to what I understand, there was a casual conversation among them where someone suggested the wife may have been jealous. This comment was in relation to using the person as a realtor and potentially investing in their food business. It’s unclear if they were aware of this investment request, but it appeared the wife was indeed jealous, and this friend of hers shared this information with Mary. However, the friend had no knowledge of any actual event happening, making it clear to them that it was just a rumor. Mary even has a text message as proof, and she shared this information on February 14. Strangely, Nicole continued filming the entire season as if she hadn’t received that text.
Lately, I’ve been venturing out on dates for the past year, some of which were recorded for the show. However, for the last eight years, my only romantic companion was my ex, Peter, whom I was once engaged to and had a disagreement with Christine about. So when I claim there’s no truth in this — it’s hard to believe that such a scenario was approved.
In my perspective, I felt compelled to share the information about your husband’s affair with Bre because I valued our shared friendship and I believed it was important for her to expose what was happening in a situation that involved two young children. It was unfortunate that Chelsea wasn’t given the chance to handle this matter privately. On Halloween, we accompanied each other. Behind the scenes, they had a private, emotional talk during their phone call, and Bre decided not to reveal this conversation on camera. However, it was later discovered that she had told production, “Bring Amanda on set, she has information about Chelsea’s husband,” which is inappropriate.
