As a battle-hardened gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia upon seeing the festive transformation of Black Ops 6’s iconic Nuketown map. The sight of snowflakes falling on the familiar terrain brings back memories of countless Christmas Eves spent huddled around my monitor, blasting away at enemies in the virtual winter wonderland.
Typically, Call of Duty is receiving its annual holiday update, and some initial details for what’s happening in Black Ops 6 have been revealed. As part of a fresh COD POD from Activision, the company unveiled the first glimpse of a festive transformation that will be applied to Black Ops 6’s Nuketown map during the holiday season.
It’s evident that the map is adorned with holiday decorations and blanketed with snow. While nothing is official yet, it’s expected that several giftable store packages themed around the holidays will be available to help cultivate a festive mood.

Information about when Black Ops 6’s Nuketown festive transformation will become active online isn’t available yet, nor are details of any other themed activities, but given how close the holidays are, it should be imminent. Additionally, Black Ops 6 will feature a collaboration with the popular Netflix series, Squid Game, around the same time as the release of Squid Game Season 2.
