As a seasoned gamer with decades of virtual adventures under my belt, I must say, the upcoming Secret Level series on Prime Video has me more than just intrigued! Growing up, I’ve played every game from Armored Core to Concord, Mega Man to The Outer Worlds, so seeing these beloved franchises come to life in a new medium is an exciting prospect.
Amazon’s Prime Video has unveiled a fresh trailer for their upcoming series, Secret Level, which is based on video game themes and produced by Tim Miller, the mastermind behind Deadpool. This series will present unique tales drawn from the worlds of well-known video game franchises such as Armored Core, Concord, Dungeons & Dragons, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, Pac-Man, The Outer Worlds, and various PlayStation titles.
The series premieres on Amazon Prime Video starting December 10, and new episodes will be available up until December 17. Additionally, Amazon Prime Video has announced that they will share previews of certain episodes on their Secret Level social media platforms starting November 18.
This group of talented actors includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Ariana Greenblatt, Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Claudia Doumit, and Laura Bailey, along with several others.
Secret Level’s episode dedicated to Concord, the ill-fated PlayStation multiplayer game, is going ahead despite the game’s shutdown and the closure of the game studio behind it. Miller recently reflected on this, saying the episode “turned out really well.”
He shared with Rolling Stone that there was simply no more dedicated or kind-hearted team of developers than the one at Concord. He confessed he couldn’t fathom why things didn’t pan out as expected. Despite knowing they were striving to do their best and were an exceptionally gifted collective of creators, he feels a deep sense of regret.
