Secret Death Stranding 2 Video Has Been Revealed, But Don’t Get Too Excited

The approaching launch date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is getting nearer, and just like anticipated, the promotional apparatus behind it is revving up. Already, we’ve witnessed a few trailers for the game, while in Japan, staff from Kojima Productions have been distributing free tissue packs related to Death Stranding 2 as part of their promotional efforts.

Here’s an interesting twist: These packages are said to have QR codes on them (as reported on Reddit). Scanning this QR code leads you to an unlisted YouTube video on the developer’s channel. This brief 40-second clip showcases fresh footage, but if you’re not already a fan of post-apocalyptic environmental ASMR, it might not be as exciting for you.

If you’re unable to play the video above, it presents a short glimpse into an open survival shelter in Death Stranding 2, patiently waiting for a daring courier to collect some supplies. At the minimum, it offers a pleasing view of the barren landscapes that players will have the chance to traverse in Death Stranding 2.

Besides the promotional materials for tissue packs, enthusiasts of Death Stranding have the opportunity to pre-order a unique DualSense controller. This specific version boasts a sleek black design with emblems reminiscent of the Drawbridge company from the upcoming sequel. The price is set at $85. Death Stranding 2, slated for release on PS5 on June 26, has already seen several previews being made available online.

Even though the feedback for the sequel has been generally favorable thus far, game director Hideo Kojima is unsatisfied and actively seeks out more “daring” or “unconventional” opinions about the sequel.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve clocked an impressive 30 hours into the upcoming masterpiece, Death Stranding 2. Let me tell you, this game is a knockout! I can hardly contain my excitement to dive back in and explore even more when it drops next month. – Dan Ryckert, TopMob’s Death Stranding 2 Preview
