‘Schindler’s List’ Star Caroline Goodall and ‘This City Is Ours’ Actor Hannah Onslow to Lead Short Film ‘The Second Time Around’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Actors Caroline Goodall, known for her work with Steven Spielberg in films such as “Schindler’s List” and “Hook,” and Hannah Onslow, who shone in “This City Is Ours,” have agreed to take the leading roles in the upcoming short film titled “The Second Time Around.

Under Jack Howard’s direction, this short film blends elements of fantasy and drama as it tells the story of a waitress named Onslow. On a rainy London night, while she’s closing her café, she encounters an enigmatic older woman called Goodall. In addition to the lead roles, Genevieve Lewis, known for her work on BBC’s “Doctors,” and David Ashton, famed for his role in “The Last King of Scotland,” lend their talents to supporting parts.

In this new venture titled “The Second Time Around”, we see the entry of Howard, a native of Nottingham, who is also one half of the popular U.K. comedy duo Jack & Dean. This project represents a shift for Howard into more serious filmmaking endeavors. It’s not just a short film, but a stepping stone towards a full-length movie, as the necessary funding has already been secured through a successful crowdfunding campaign with over 500 backers.

Ash Horne and Max Marlow are collaborating on a project titled “The Second Time Around,” in partnership with 42 Management & Production. Previously, Ash Horne served as a creative director at the award-winning Slick Films before co-founding the creative studio CANTSEE and serving as an executive producer for the BAFTA-nominated short film “Marion.” Meanwhile, Max Marlow, who works in association with his production company A Marlow’s Production, has produced the short film “Good Boy” featuring Ben Whishaw and was recently recognized on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.

The movie titled “The Second Time Around” was filmed in Ealing, a district of London, and concluded production towards the end of last year with backing from the West London Film Office. Currently undergoing post-production, it will start submitting to film festivals this summer. Additionally, it receives support from the LGBTQ mental health organization, MindOut.
