Since its release about two weeks back, Schedule 1, the Steam game that lets you create a drug empire, has taken off and is now receiving its first significant upgrade. This update brings in new operational stores, decorative items, cosmetic additions, and much more. For all the details on what’s included in update 0.3.4., check out the patch notes below.
The latest upgrade equips Bleuballs Boutique and the Pawn Shop with comprehensive interior design and operational features. At Bleuballs Boutique, you can now browse a wide range of items, while at the Pawn Shop, you’re able to sell an array of goods (excluding illegal substances) to Mick. Additionally, this update introduces an assortment of wall decorations such as signs, lamps, collectible artworks, and various other ornaments for you to personalize your stores.
In this latest version, you’ll find an exciting new feature: alcohol bottles, labeled as Ol’ Man Jimmy’s Whiskey, Chateau La Peepee, and Brut du Gloop among others. At the moment, these are just for visual appeal, but they will gain functionality in a forthcoming update.
The initial project, referred to as Schedule 1, was single-handedly developed by the talented individual known as Tyler from Tyler’s Video Game Studio. He took on multiple roles in this game, serving as its artist, programmer, and designer. However, it wasn’t a one-man show entirely. Musical contributions were made by Kaesul, who lent their skills as the composer for the game. Additionally, graffiti artistry was provided by Cody To to enrich the overall aesthetic of the project.
According to Tyler’s announcement in the update logs, they are still refining the procedure for releasing and testing updates for their widely played game. Starting from next month, they aim to roll out larger monthly updates. Although the recent update has addressed several bugs, Tyler plans to resolve a few lingering issues in the upcoming one, such as employee behavior glitches, corrupted save problems, and multiplayer connection troubles. Additionally, the developer expresses eagerness to officially support the Steam Deck for the game in the near future (Schedule 1).
Although primarily created by a sole developer, Schedule 1 has experienced significant success on Steam since its launch in late March. Currently, it ranks as the fourth most-played game on their charts, trailing behind heavyweights such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and PUBG.
In this game, you’ll step into the shoes of an up-and-coming drug dealer in a fresh town, aiming to establish your own empire. You’re given control over every aspect of the business, from producing to distributing, and even recruiting staff to manage daily operations. The game also includes action sequences, and a multiplayer feature that lets you join forces with a friend to run a joint operation.
