‘Scare Tactics’ Reboot From Jordan Peele Sets October Premiere Date

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things chilling and comedic, I am beyond thrilled about the return of “Scare Tactics”! This show has always been a delightful blend of fear and laughter, and it’s about time we dive back into the world of hidden cameras and horrifying pranks.

The upcoming “Scare Tactics” reboot has set its official premiere date.

On October 4th at 10 PM Eastern Time, the horror-comedy prank show will make its debut on USA Network. At the same time, it will also be aired on sister networks Bravo, Syfy, and E!, all part of NBCUniversal. The revival of this series was first announced back in July.

The upcoming season of this series will feature Flip, a ghostly teenager with an intense passion for horror films and a deep curiosity about human fear, as the host.

Just like the original series, every episode of “Scare Tactics” follows unsuspecting individuals who find themselves in carefully orchestrated horror situations, all while hidden cameras capture the action. According to NBCUniversal, this show will include ordinary people as well as celebrities such as WWE’s The New Day, who believe they are participating in a promotional event with current WWE Universal champion Cody Rhodes.

Under their respective banners – Monkeypaw Productions led by Jordan Peele, along with Win Rosenfeld and Jamal Watson, and WMTI Productions, Inc., run by Scott Hallock – collaborate on the production of “Scare Tactics”. Elan Gale takes on roles as both executive producer and showrunner for the series. Notably, the format of “Scare Tactics” belongs to WMTI Productions, Inc. Universal Television Alternative Studio partners with Monkeypaw and WMTI in producing this thrilling project.

Originally, “Scare Tactics” aired for five seasons on Syfy (formerly known as the Sci-Fi Channel), stretching from 2003 to 2013. Shannen Doherty served as the show’s initial host, with Stephen Baldwin and later Tracy Morgan taking over the role respectively. The series was filled with pranks such as tricking campers into thinking they were under Big Foot attack and orchestrating a UFO abduction scenario.
