Tiffani Thiessen is a favorite actress for many people who grew up in the ’90s, thanks to her memorable roles as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell and Valerie Malone on Beverly Hills, 90210. While she continues to entertain her fans, she now often does so through fun social media videos featuring her family. A recent example is their charming holiday tribute to the Backstreet Boys, which led to a fantastic surprise – a meeting with the band themselves!
Bringing two fandoms together, Tiffani Thiessen posted a video to Instagram showing her, husband Brady Smith and their two children dressed in the signature all-white of the Backstreet Boys, hitting some classic boy band moves to the tune of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”:

Everyone was dancing energetically, but I was especially amused by their son Holt’s modern dance moves – something you definitely wouldn’t have seen in the ’90s! Their “Happy Holidays EVERYBODY” post even got a reaction from Mario Lopez, who starred with Tiffani Thiessen on Saved by the Bell and is still good friends with her. He commented:
🔥🔥🔥
The video also reached the members of the famous boy band, and AJ McLean responded by praising the creativity behind it, saying:
Hell yeah. I’m honored. Happy holidays to you guys.
It turns out that holiday message was just a hint of things to come! Five days later, Tiffani Thiessen – who will be starring in the upcoming TV series Coven Academy in 2026 – went to a Backstreet Boys concert with her family at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Not only that, but she got to reunite with her fellow ‘90s heartthrobs, posting photos of her family with the boy-banders, with everyone (naturally) dressed in all white:

It’s honestly enough to make a Millennial’s brain explode!
Tiffani Thiessen shared enthusiastic praise for the show, and also highlighted the kindness of the band members, noting how well they treated her family and friends. She went on to say:
It was such a fun night of dancing and singing! It meant so much to reconnect with the guys after so long. Thank you, AJ, Howie, Nick, Brian, and Kevin, for being so wonderful to my family and friends – you made it an incredibly special evening, and I’m so grateful. What a night to remember! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
It’s no surprise the Saved by the Bell actress has met the boy band at some point. I’m just not sure who should be more excited about the picture – the Backstreet Boys, because they probably grew up watching Saved by the Bell, or Kelly Kapowski herself! Either way, it’s amazing to see so many stars together in one photo.
Howie Dorough responded to Tiffani Thiessen’s kind message with two white heart emojis, and Kevin Richardson also reacted to the post by…
🙏🏼 ✌🏼 ❤️
It’s rare to see two big names in pop culture team up, and I hope fellow Millennials enjoyed this over-the-top and fun surprise as much as I did.
