‘Saturday Night Live’: Weekend Update Takes Aim at Diddy’s Legal Troubles, Daniel Day-Lewis’ New Acting Role and More

As someone who has been following the tumultuous world of entertainment for years, I must say that “Weekend Update” never ceases to deliver a dose of sharp wit and biting satire. This week was no exception, with Michael Che and Colin Jost taking aim at some heavyweights like Diddy and Daniel Day-Lewis.

During “Weekend Update,” hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost playfully criticized a few influential figures in Hollywood, such as Academy Award-winner Daniel Day-Lewis and musician Diddy.

Che targeted rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who stands accused of sex trafficking and sexual assault, with a witty remark. He quipped, “It seems that out of the 245,000 new jobs added in the U.S., every single one appears to be ‘Diddy accuser.’

As a die-hard movie buff, I’ve got some news to share: The Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking case has been transferred to a fresh judge. Fingers crossed this judge is understanding and fair – Diddy certainly hopes so.

Jost playfully mocked another member of the royal family regarding their known association with Jeffrey Epstein by saying, “Prince Andrew managed to RSVP before Diddy had even finished writing the invitation.

Jost announced that Daniel Day-Lewis, who took a seven-year break from acting, is making a comeback to star in a new movie. In an amusing twist, it’s not the anticipated blockbuster many might expect; instead, it’s his son Ronan Day-Lewis’ directorial debut titled “Anemone.” The three-time Academy Award winner will be gracing the silver screen once again with this unique project.

From jabs at English actors to English businessmen, Che took shots at billionaire Richard Branson’s latest venture. Che reported, “Richard Branson has launched a new free online university for people with dyslexia. You can check it out at ww.wDyslexiacom,” he said with a smirk.

Comedian Nate Bargatze is this episode’s host, with Coldplay as musical guest.
