The movie, spearheaded by Martin O’Brien in collaboration with Mike Koeppel as producer, showcases notable figures from the time period such as Brian Behlendorf, DJ Harvey, DJ Dan, and DJ Doc Martin. It delves into the DIY philosophy and psychedelic camaraderie that characterized the era’s unique atmosphere.
The film delves into the way that late-night electronic music dance events drew in a wide range of people and served as stepping stones for numerous participants who went on to make important contributions in Silicon Valley, the international dance music scene, and social activism.
Speaking about his role in shaping San Francisco’s rave culture, O’Brien expressed: “The movie was designed to transport viewers back to the vibrant early ’90s music scene that has since evolved into the worldwide EDM/electronica craze.
