In this edition of College Football, Alabama’s wide receiver Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s wide receiver Jeremiah Smith grace the standard cover. Furthermore, they are also featured on the deluxe cover alongside multiple other athletes, coaches, and supporters.
Growing up as an avid player of EA Sports games, the realization that I’d grace the cover of College Football 26 has been a long-cherished dream. The thrill from seeing myself in College Football 25 last year was indescribable, and now, to embody Alabama and share this memorable experience with fans who have shared countless hours playing EA Sports games – it’s almost surreal.
17-year-old Williams had an impressive freshman year with the Roll Tide. He accumulated more than 900 yards from scrimmage and scored a total of 10 touchdowns during the previous season. Notably, he was recognized as a Freshman All-American, made the First-Team All-SEC, and received an SEC All-Freshman Team award. With his first year behind him, Williams looks forward to achieving greater feats in the years 2025 and beyond.
Smith expressed his delight by saying, “It’s an enormous honor to be featured on the cover of EA Sports College Football 26.” He added that he feels privileged to stand with Coach [Ryan] Day, representing Ohio State. Furthermore, he emphasized his commitment to preserving the Buckeye legacy and acknowledging the fervor of our supporters as well as the rich history of this remarkable program.
Freshman player, Smith, had an exceptional season that was even more noteworthy, accumulating over 1,300 receiving yards and ultimately helping OSU claim the National Championship. In the season finale against Notre Dame, Smith scored the first touchdown for OSU, tying the game against the Fighting Irish. The team then went on to score four additional touchdowns without reply, securing the title victory.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve got to say, Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith are both top-notch choices for College Football 26 Cover Athletes. Last season, EA Sports shook things up by featuring three players in their final year on the cover of CFB 25. This time around, they’ve flipped the script entirely, and it looks like two young, promising freshmen are set to take the lead!
As a die-hard football gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped about EA Sports confirming the grand unveiling of College Football 26, set for Thursday, May 29th, 2025. While we may not be diving into the nitty-gritty gameplay details just yet, we can surely count on a glimpse of gameplay and some impressive presentational upgrades, much like what we saw last year. Can’t wait to witness the big reveal!
