As a huge God of War fan, I was so excited to hear about the TV series! And even more excited to learn that Christopher Judge, who perfectly embodied Thor in Ragnarok, is involved! From what I understand, the show will pick up where the last two games – the 2018 God of War and Ragnarok – left off, continuing Kratos and Atreus’ incredible journey. It’s a mystery who will play Atreus and the other characters, but with filming supposedly starting in Vancouver this March, I’m hoping we’ll get some casting news and more details really soon. I can’t wait to see this world brought to life!
Ronald D. Moore, known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, is leading the God of War show as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. The series is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, PlayStation Productions, and Tall Ship Productions.
Okay, so I just heard that Frederick E.O. Toye – the guy who worked on The Boys and Fallout – is directing the first couple of episodes of a new show! I’m super excited. We don’t know when it’s coming out yet, but it’s going to be on Prime Video. Speaking of Prime, they’re also making a live-action Tomb Raider series with Sophie Turner, which sounds awesome too!
The God of War series is likely to continue, though there are currently no new installments officially confirmed.
