Ryan Gosling recently revealed one of his favorite scenes from Star Wars: Starfighter.
What did Ryan Gosling say about his favorite scene in Star Wars: Starfighter?
I’m so excited for Ryan Gosling in the new Star Wars movie, Starfighter! I was listening to his interview on BBC Radio, and he mentioned working with a creature on set that made one particular scene incredibly fun for him. He didn’t say much, but it definitely got me even more hyped for the film – it sounds like it’s going to be amazing!
I was so fascinated by the incredible creatures they were building for Star Wars! I actually went to the creature shop early on, hoping to find ways to really connect with them in my scenes – I didn’t want them just to be part of the background. I stumbled upon this one creature that was originally meant to be just that, but I was so captivated, I asked if I could have a scene with it. And honestly, it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable scenes I’ve ever filmed!
The fun didn’t stop there. Gosling now lives with a version of the creature.
Gosling shared that as a gift from the film crew, they built him a miniature model. He keeps it at home and said he’d happily tell the story behind it – if they weren’t currently filming.
Details about the plot of Star Wars: Starfighter are mostly being kept secret. The story will follow an adventure with Gosling’s character and a younger character played by Flynn Gray. The film takes place around five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The film also stars Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams.
Shawn Levy will direct the upcoming Star Wars film, currently titled Starfighter, based on a script by Jonathan Tropper. It’s set to hit theaters on May 28, 2027.
